System Questions

What is the difference between a cloud based system & an on-premise system?

An on-premise solution means that your hardware is kept on site, typically in your server closet. Having an on-premise system means that you own the hardware, therefore it can be completely customized and updated to fit your business needs.

A cloud based solution means that your phone lines are connected through an internet connection to a provider that maintains the equipment at an off-site “cloud” data center. Most maintenance can be done remotely, but you have less control over the options and updates.

How do I know which system is best for my business?

It is important to educate yourself on the pros and cons of both types of systems so you can make the best decision for your business. Weighing through all your options can be a little challenging so below is a simplified list of pros and cons. Our team is ready to help you make this decision and answer any questions you may have so don’t feel like you must go at this alone.

On-Premise Solution Hosted Cloud Solution
You have full control over the system so you can be as flexible as your company needs to be. Grow at the rate you want to grow

Our team or an internal IT person will have to do all updates & changes to your system
Because of the fixed monthly costs & money saved on managed services it frees up money to flex where needed

You are at the mercy of when and what changes are made to your system
