System Questions

What is the difference between a cloud based system & an on-premise system?

An on-premise solution means that your hardware is kept on site, typically in your server closet. Having an on-premise system means that you own the hardware, therefore it can be completely customized and updated to fit your business needs.

A cloud based solution means that your phone lines are connected through an internet connection to a provider that maintains the equipment at an off-site “cloud” data center. Most maintenance can be done remotely, but you have less control over the options and updates.
